The “Turkmenhimiya” State concern was established by the Decree
The “Turkmenhimiya” State concern was established by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated August 24, 2007 “On the Establishment of the “Turkmenhimiya” State concern and its tasks” with the aim of organizing the management of enterprises producing mineral fertilizers and chemical products in Turkmenistan.
The primary tasks of the “Turkmenhimiya” State concern are:
- meeting the needs of agriculture of Turkmenistan in mineral fertilizers;
-increase in volumes and assortment of production of mineral fertilizers and chemical products, both for domestic needs and for export;
-extending the production of iodine products, as well as the integrated use of available iodine-bromine resources in order to obtain high-quality products;
-introduction of modern technologies for the integrated use of available hydrocarbon and other mineral resources.
The “Turkmenhimiya” State concern unites such production facilities as the S. Niyazov Turkmenabad Chemical Factory, Tejenkarbamid Factory, Marykarbamid Factory, Khazar Chemical Factory, Balkanabat and Bereket Iodine Factories, Guvlyduz Factory, Production Associations "Maryazot", "Garabogazsulfat", Garlyk mining and processing factory and the enterprise "Dokunhimiya", as well as the factory "Garabogazkarbamid". In addition, in 2012, a technical secondary vocational school was opened in order to train specialists for the Concern's enterprises in the city of Turkmenabat.
